Punjab Desk: Baba Farid institutions, including Tilla Baba Farid Religious and Charitable Society (Regd.) and Gurdwara Godri Sahib Baba Farid Society, on the occasion of Baba Farid Agman Purab, donated ₹51 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and ₹2 lakh for the Red Cross Society. The amounts were handed over to Deputy Commissioner Madam Poonamdeep Kaur.
Deputy Commissioner Madam Poonamdeep Kaur stated that following the principles of social responsibility, these institutions have made a significant contribution for this noble cause. She added that the donation symbolizes the commitment of Baba Farid educational and religious societies to always stand with the poor, distressed, and needy. These institutions are dedicated to selfless service, humanitarian welfare, and promoting the service of God through good deeds.
Present on the occasion were the presidents of the institutions, Mr. Simarjit Singh Sekho, Mr. Charanjit Singh Sekho, Mr. Deepinder Singh Sekho, Mr. Gurjap Singh Sekho, Mr. Surinder Singh Romana, Dr. Gurinder Mohan Singh, and Mr. Kuljeet Singh Maugian Brar, along with other members.
