Punjab Desk: Under the guidance of Civil Surgeon , Faridkot Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kakkar and under the able leadership of Dr. Arshdeep Singh Brar Senior Medical Officer Incharge PHC Jand Sahib and Dr. Kiranbir Kaur Medical Officer Incharge CHC Sadiq, awareness was created regarding the Care Companion Program at Government Hospital Sadiq.
Giving information on this occasion, Nodal Officer IEC Activities BEE Rajinder Kumar said that the main goal of this program is to raise the health level by involving pregnant women, general public and their families in the health awareness campaign so that preventable diseases can be controlled. Under this, the woman admitted to the maternity ward in the district hospitals and her attendant are told about the care and risk conditions of the woman and the newborn , now the scope of this program has been expanded under which general medical and surgical care , non-communicable diseases have also been included in this program.
He said that under this program, the Health Department is also getting support from NGO Noora Health and YoshAid. Toll free numbers have also been issued under the program , on which various types of advice can be sought by giving a missed call. For example, pregnant women can call 01143078153. Mothers or relatives of newborns can call 01143078153 for advice and information related to sugar, BP and other health can be obtained by giving a missed call to 01143078160. Along with this, by calling 08047180443, general medical and information related to that subject , advice and precautions can be received through WhatsApp or regular messages for three months. All these facilities are free and their aim is to make people aware about health and prepare them in advance for difficult situations.
