Apprenticeship Fair Held at Government ITI, 59 Students Shortlisted

Punjab Desk: An Apprenticeship Fair was organized at the Government ITI Barnala under the “Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela” campaign.

The fair was conducted under the guidelines of the government and under the leadership of Munish Kumar, IAS, Director of Technical Education and Industrial Training Department, and Principal Harpal Singh. During this fair, students from various government and private institutions participated, with prominent regional companies such as Trident Yarn Sanghera, Trident Home Textiles Dhaula, PRTC Barnala, Trident Lotus Home Textiles Dhaula, Trident Paper and Chemicals Ltd. Dhaula, Gobind Coach Bhadaur, Standard Corporation Ltd. Handiaya, New Maur Agriculture Works Handiaya, Gobind Motors Pvt. Ltd. Bhadaur, and Max Automobiles Handiaya taking part.

On this occasion, the fair in-charge S. Azadwinder Singh informed students about the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Several youth were selected for apprenticeship positions based on their qualifications.

A total of 170 students participated in the fair, including 40 female candidates. Out of these, 59 students were shortlisted. During the event, Placement cum Apprenticeship In-charge Varinder Singh thanked the participating industries for guiding the youth towards career opportunities.
