Punjab Desk: Under the guidance of S. Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister Punjab and the leadership of Mr. Varjit Walia, Deputy Rupnagar, the Agriculture Department, Sri Anandpur Sahib, distributed free wheat seeds to the farmers of flood affected areas.
On this occasion, the department officials appealed to the farmers to take advantage of this and informed them about not burning stubble , mixing crop residues in the fields , various schemes of the department , sowing of crops , maintenance and proper use of medicines.
Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Lekh Raj motivated the farmers to adopt natural farming , get soil tested and do allied agricultural activities. Gagandeep Singh , Dr. Gurjit Singh , AEO Jatinder Kumar , Raj Kumar , Harpreet Singh , farmers Satnam Singh , Paramjit Singh , Balwant Singh were present on this occasion.
