Punjab Desk: The Punjab government will give a grand welcome to the Nagar Kirtan arriving in Batala on November 20 on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, for which preparations are being made. This was revealed by Punjab Executive President and Batala MLA Shari Kalsi while talking to journalists. On this occasion, Joban Randhawa, newly appointed Chairman District Planning Committee Gurdaspur was also present.

MLA Shari Kalsi said that on November 20, the Nagar Kirtan will be decorated from Gurdaspur at 8 am and will reach Batala at around 11 am. She said that the Nagar Kirtan will be given a grand welcome at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, near Usmanpur City, Batala. She appealed to all the devotees to join the Nagar Kirtan and get the blessings of the Guru Ghar.

He said that with the blessings of Akal Purakh, the Punjab government is remembering Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and his beloved martyred Gursikhs.

He said that under the leadership of S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab, continuous events are being organized across the state in the month of November, in which a large number of devotees are participating.

He said that on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of martyrdom, the Punjab government is organizing various religious events in all the districts of Punjab during the month of November so that children, the younger generation and people of all age groups can be informed about the life stories of the great martyrs.

He further informed that the Punjab government will organize events dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary at Sri Anandpur Sahib, the holy city founded by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, from November 23 to 25. He informed that the events will begin on November 23 with Akhand Path Sahib, after which there will be an all-faith conference, an exhibition at Virasat-e-Khalsa, a first-of-its-kind drone show depicting the life and sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at 5 pm and a Kirtan Darbar at 6 pm. He informed that on November 24, the Nagar Kirtan ‘Sis Bhet’ will start from Sri Kiratpur Sahib and reach Sri Anandpur Sahib. He informed that for the first time in history, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha will hold a special session at the memorial of Bhai Jaita Ji at Sri Anandpur Sahib and on November 25, after the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, famous Kirtan bands will perform a varied Kirtan of the 9th Guru’s hymns.
