On this occasion, Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Harpreet Pal Kaur appealed to farmers to cooperate in making the district pollution-free and achieving the goal of zero burning during the paddy season.

She appealed to the farmers to contribute towards environmental protection by managing maximum stubble so that Mansa district can be brought under the “Zero Burning” category.

The Chief Agriculture Officer also informed that apart from this, awareness camps are being organized by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare teams at village Chachohar, Jaudkian, Dhingarh, Saharna, and Daliayewali to motivate farmers for stubble management.

On this occasion, Agriculture Development Officers Jasleen Kaur Dhaliwal, Navkaranjot Singh, Amritpal Singh, Gurdeep Kaur, Sandeep Singh, Agriculture Sub-Inspector Avtar Singh, Assistant Technical Manager Kamalpreet Singh, and progressive farmers were present.
