27 Transport Department Services & 5 Revenue Services Now Available at Sewa Kendras: Deputy Commissioner

Punjab Desk: Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government has extended major convenience to the public by making 27 services related to driving licenses and vehicle registration from the Transport Department, and 5 services related to the Revenue Department, available at Sewa Kendras. Of these, 15 services are related to driving licenses, and 12 are related to vehicle registration.

Providing this information, Deputy Commissioner (additional charge) Barnala, Shaukat Ahmad Pare (IAS), said that citizens can now avail services such as deed registration, deed draft preparation, submission of deeds for pre-verification, stamp duty payment, application for mutation (based on inheritance or registered deeds), entry of reports (related to court orders or mortgage documents), application for correction in records (Farad Badar), request for digitally signed land records (Farad), and various services related to driving licenses and vehicle registrations at Sewa Kendras.

He detailed that the driving license services include learner’s license applications, address change, name change, duplicate learner’s license, duplicate driving license, license renewal (not requiring a test track), replacement, address/name/DOB correction, extraction of license, license surrender, public service vehicle badge issuance, conductor license renewal, and extension of learner’s license validity, among others.

Vehicle registration-related services include duplicate RC, ownership transfer of non-commercial vehicles, continuation of hire purchase agreements (in case of ownership/name change), endorsement of hire purchase agreements, fitness certificates for commercial vehicles (heavy/medium/3-wheeler/4-wheeler/LMV), payment of additional lifetime tax (in case of ownership change), RC detail viewing, NOC for RC, mobile number update in transport records, and RC address change, etc.

He further added that citizens who cannot physically visit the Sewa Kendras can simply call 1076 to avail of these services through doorstep delivery.
